Frigemates, a patented product invented and marketed by area entrepreneur Paul Davis, was selected to appear on the refrigerator in an Extreme Makeover: Home Edition episode that was recently filmed in Myrtle Beach.

Davis, who happened to be in Myrtle Beach at the time, showed the show's head designer his product and she immediately wanted to use it during filming.  Since Frigemates products are customizable, Paul provided the set crew with a unit that incorporated Extreme Makeover's logo.

I think it would be fun to have a collection of area webcams, so if you have one or know of one, please share with us.  Bill McCaleb, Halifax County's Master Gardener Coordinator, sent a link to the Master Gardeners of two live bird nest webcams in California and spurred the idea to gather a collection for this site.  It could be a fun way to help promote the area.

The iPhone app that has proved to be the most helpful to me in my business so far is Jobs.  With this app, I can set up a job, link it to a client, set the hourly rate, make notes about the work session, start the timer, and Jobs takes care of tracking my time for billing.   When you stop the timer and restart later, Jobs will create a new work session; this is really helpful to me since I don't want all of my work sessions for a project lumped together.   Many times I'm working on a different task with each session, so this feature helps me analyze work efficiency and accuracy of quotes.
