Don't miss this special treat! R&B artist Hugh Vaughan will be featured at Convergence Art Guild's Valentine's Day event on Saturday, February 13 (8pm - until), where he'll be hosting one of his rare Hugh Vaughan and Friends performances. Hugh's career spans more than four decades, during which he has opened for artists as diverse as Johnny Winter, Flora Purim, and Airto Moreira and has shared the stage with such legends as Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King, Bonnie Raitt, and Paul Butterfield.
The entrance fee is $15 and all proceeds go to Convergence Art Guild programs.
Unique to the Hugh Vaughan & Friends concerts are the host of friends invited to jam with him at times during the evening, including fellow Robyn and the Hoods members, Carl Meadows on bass, Robyn Robbins on guitar, and Doug Matze on keyboards; harmonica extraordinaire Eddie Elliott, a Halifax County native who grew up with Vaughan on Washington Avenue in South Boston; drummer Spencer Ferguson; and up-and-coming singer/songwriters Dane Ferguson and Glenn Brown - among others.

Fans who are lucky enough to attend one of these events are in for the rare experience of being part of a true jam session - no rehearsals, set lists or scripts, just a rockin' good time with musicians who are improvising and feeding off of each other's vibes. A night like this is what Hugh's music is all about - good friends, good times, and great music!
