New radio station offers "listen live"

Posted by: Lisa Kipps-Brown in Entertainment

If you're a fan of classic rock, there's a new radio station just for you: 1045 The Dan.   Not only can you tune in on the radio at 104.5 FM and 1580 AM, you can also LISTEN LIVE on our Entertainment page or by visiting the station's website!

Another fun feature on 1045 The Dan is their "Last Songs Played" feature; you can view a continuously updated list of songs that have been played (listed by the time they were played), and there are links to view videos and lyrics of a song, check the artist's concert schedule, buy the song, and buy the ringtone.  On top of that, you can even click a past date on the calendar and see playlists for that date!

You can sign up to become a Dan Fan member to enter contests, subscribe to newsletters, get special offers, etc.

The station serves the Danville area, but anyone outside of Danville who has internet access can listen online; the live streaming is not only great for fans of classic rock, but is also good for advertisers because their exposure is increased.  I live in South Boston so can't get the station on my radio, but I'm listening online now - love it!  1045 The Dan is part of the Lakes Media Network; other stations in the network are US 98.3 (country), 95-3/HLF (80's, 90's and Today), and 1370 WSHV (soul).  Look for more technology advancements coming from the Lakes Media Network!
