The Dept. of Game and Inland Fisheries has announced FREE public hunter safety classes for those wishing to obtain a Virginia hunting license.
In Virginia, anyone wishing to hunt outside their own property must obtain a hunting license beginning at age 12.
Class dates and times are:
- August 9,10,11 – 6pm – 9:30pm
- September 18-19 – 1pm-6pm
- October 16-17 – 1pm-6pm
All classes will be held centrally at the Halifax Fire Department, 375 N Main Street Halifax, VA 24558.
Pre-registration is required for these sessions. Please call 476-3339 to register giving the number in your party attending.
- All classes are free with a central focus on youth hunter education
- You must attend all 10 hours in a session to complete the course.
- Students must be at least in the 4th grade to attend.
